The Government Cyber Security Advisory Board is currently accepting applications for individuals interested in contributing to the UK Government Cyber Security Strategy. Launched in January 2022, this initiative aims to protect the government from cyber-attacks, strengthen the UK’s sovereignty, and establish its position as a democratic and cyber powerhouse.
The advisory board is seeking experts from the government, private sector, and academia to collaborate and address the greatest cybersecurity challenges facing the United Kingdom. Applicants must have professional experience in cybersecurity, with expertise in areas such as cybersecurity strategy, governance, risk management, program delivery, cyber detection and response, technology, and cyber skills and culture.
Meetings of the advisory board will take place once every two months, with virtual attendance being the norm, except for events in London. Interested individuals should submit a cover letter of up to 1000 words to gsgcyber@cabinetoffice.gov.uk, detailing their motivations for joining the board, how they meet the eligibility criteria, and why they are a good fit for the role.
The deadline to apply for the advisory board is June 6, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. This is a unique opportunity to connect with experts across various sectors and play a crucial role in shaping the future of cybersecurity in the United Kingdom. Join us in making a difference in the digital landscape.
