The highly anticipated Crash the Runiverse event has officially launched in the Forgotten Runiverse game, inviting players to stress-test the servers in preparation for the global launch. The event, which will run until January 17 at 5pm ET, challenges players to push the game’s servers to their limits in an effort to crash them, as stated by the project on X (formerly known as Twitter).
Participants in the event have the chance to earn from a pool of 21 trillion Quanta, the in-game currency of Forgotten Runiverse that will soon be directly redeemable for XP, the ecosystem token for the Forgotten Runes Wizard’s Cult NFT project, and the game itself. In addition to earning Quanta, players can also unlock exclusive cosmetic armor sets by completing various tasks within the event.
This marks the third major event hosted by Forgotten Runiverse, following the success of Eve of Memory and New Foundations in 2024. Players who participated in the previous events are also eligible for the Quanta airdrop. The latest event features improved party, chat, and UI optimizations, with a promise of even more new content to come later in the year.
Forgotten Runiverse, which launched its open beta access in August, operates on the Ronin blockchain, an Ethereum sidechain gaming network that is home to popular titles like Pixels and Axie Infinity. Players in this MMORPG can team up to engage in thrilling player-vs-player and player-vs-environment adventures based on the rich lore of the Forgotten Runes universe.
As the game continues to evolve and expand, players can look forward to a vibrant community and exciting new updates in the near future. Stay tuned for more developments from the world of Forgotten Runiverse.
