Hedera Hashgraph LLC has generously contributed its entire Hedera blockchain network code to the newly established Decentralized Trust Linux Foundation initiative. This move underlines Hedera’s dedication to open source development and marks a significant stride towards decentralization and transparency within the blockchain community.
As per a press release shared with the media, the source code provided by Hedera Hashgraph LLC is now under the management of the “Hiero” project led by LF Decentralized Trust. This initiative grants developers worldwide access to Hedera’s essential services, tools, and libraries, fostering collaboration in an inclusive and open environment. The endeavor aligns with Hedera’s core objective of enhancing trust in decentralized technologies and empowering developers to create decentralized applications (dApps).
The Hiero project’s primary goal is to facilitate the development of various applications, including wallets, decentralized exchanges, private ledgers, and cryptographic solutions tailored to the unique needs of the Hedera ecosystem. Hedera’s leadership in this endeavor is further underscored by the appointment of its President, Charles ADKINS, to the LF Decentralized Trust Board of Directors. He will be working alongside industry leaders from esteemed organizations like Accenture, DTCC, and Hitachi, who also serve as key members of the Linux Foundation.
