Chromia Partners with Chasm Network for Decentralized AI Integration
Chromia, a Layer-1 relational blockchain platform, has recently announced a strategic investment and technical collaboration with Chasm Network, a prominent player in decentralized artificial intelligence. This partnership aims to address the growing need for accountability and transparency in AI systems as they become more ingrained in daily operations.
Chasm Network is committed to developing decentralized AI models that enable individuals to observe and validate decision-making processes, emphasizing the importance of open and verifiable AI systems in the current landscape.
Chasm Network is set to launch its native token, Chasm AI ($CAI), on Mantle, an Ethereum Layer-2 rollup, on Thursday, October 24. Chromia will play a crucial role as a decentralized database layer for storing essential AI inference data, while Mantle will provide the necessary infrastructure for Chasm’s operations.
The Chasm opML Database, a decentralized application built on Chromia, is responsible for managing tasks related to AI operations. The initial version of the program has already been deployed on Chromia’s mainnet, ensuring the transparency and immutability of sources used in AI decision-making processes.
Chasm Network comprises two main components: the Scout Layer and Weave, designed to accelerate the development of AI applications. The Scout Layer features an orchestrator that uses a mixture-of-models strategy to efficiently route user requests, allowing developers to leverage AI capabilities while balancing cost-effectiveness and performance. This platform aims to bridge the gap between AI potential and practical applications, fostering innovation in the AI ecosystem.
KC Thee, co-founder of Chasm, commented on the collaboration, stating:
“Chromia’s relational architecture is ideally suited to manage Chasm Network’s inference data, ensuring accessibility, tamper-proofing, and decentralization. This partnership enables scrutiny that prevents bias and manipulation in AI systems utilizing Chasm’s opML inference mechanisms.”
The integration of Chasm with Chromia showcases the latter’s utility as a layer for ongoing EVM-based projects. This collaboration highlights Chromia’s ability to work seamlessly with data-intensive projects in the cryptocurrency ecosystem, enhancing secure and efficient data management for complex use cases, including decentralized AI.
Both projects are committed to enhancing their current applications and exploring new avenues for improvement. As Chromia expands its mainnet ecosystem through the Data and AI Ecosystem Fund, Chasm Network prepares for the launch of its native token, marking a significant milestone in their partnership.
