Community Gaming is set to launch Forkast, a game prediction market built on the Ethereum sidechain Ronin. Ronin, developed by Sky Mavis, the creators of Axie Infinity (AXS), powers various projects like Pixels. Users will soon be able to make predictions on gaming, esports, streamers, and web3 topics on Forkast, which is scheduled to go live on January 7, 2025.
The introduction of Forkast marks a significant milestone for Ronin, expanding its ecosystem beyond gaming into consumer-focused decentralized applications. Alongside Forkast, the $CGX ecosystem token will also launch on the Katana DEX, adding to the platform’s offerings.
Staking CGX tokens on Forkast will allow users to earn rewards while participating in predictions related to internet culture, gaming, esports, and web3. Weekly rewards and daily liquidity boosts will enhance user engagement and ecosystem growth. The platform’s emphasis on cross-platform accessibility enables seamless transitions between Community Gaming and Forkast for various activities like predictions, tournaments, and quests.
To streamline user onboarding, Forkast will leverage Ronin Waypoint, an account and keyless wallet system that eliminates the need for seed phrases or wallet extensions. Users can benefit from gasless transactions when claiming rewards such as loot boxes through Waypoint.
In October, Ronin validators integrated Chainlink’s cross-chain interoperability protocol, CCIP, into the network. This move enhances the platform’s cross-chain capabilities, with CCIP going live on Ronin earlier this month.
As the crypto gaming and predictions market continues to expand, Forkast’s integration with Ronin offers a promising avenue for users to engage in prediction markets while earning rewards. The platform’s user-friendly approach and focus on enhancing user experience highlight its commitment to driving decentralized finance across the Ronin ecosystem.
