Craig Wright Files Lawsuit Against Bitcoin Core and Square
Craig Wright, the controversial figure claiming to be the inventor of Bitcoin, has taken legal action against Bitcoin Core and Jack Dorsey’s Square. According to Bitmex Research, Wright has filed the lawsuit in the UK High Court on October 10, representing himself as a ‘litigant in person’ without legal representation.
The lawsuit specifically targets Bitcoin Core, the software responsible for distributing bitcoin, and Square Up Europe Ltd., the payment firm founded by Jack Dorsey. However, the purpose of the lawsuit remains unspecified in the case tracker.
On X (formerly Twitter), Wright mentioned a lawsuit and legal threat involving MicroStrategy, but it is unclear if this is related to the recent filing. In addition to this lawsuit, Wright is also pursuing three legal appeals in the UK, including challenges against the Crypto Open Patent Alliance (COPA) and Peter McCormack.
While Wright continues his legal battles, COPA’s legal representation, Bird & Bird, has expressed confidence that there is no valid basis for the appeal against their organization.
