The decentralized finance (DeFi) sector is poised for a major rally, according to a veteran crypto trader known as Bluntz. With the recent news of President-elect Donald Trump’s crypto project, World Liberty Financial (WLFI), accumulating $50 million worth of DeFi coins such as Ethereum (ETH), Chainlink (LINK), and Aave (AAVE), Bluntz believes that DeFi is now “de-risked” and ready for a repeat of its 2021 rallies.
Bluntz expressed his bullish sentiment on the DeFi sector, stating that the president’s involvement in DeFi coins and the establishment of his own DeFi company are positive indicators for the market. He specifically highlighted his optimism towards the decentralized stablecoin protocol Ethena (ENA), noting that traders are currently shorting the altcoin despite Trump’s purchases.
In addition to ENA, Bluntz also expressed confidence in Aave (AAVE) after a prolonged accumulation period. He pointed out that AAVE has been consolidating for 833 days and is now in the markup phase, making an all-time high for the altcoin highly likely.
The trader emphasized the significance of Trump’s actions in the DeFi space, stating that the president-elect is paving the way for the sector’s growth even before taking office. He encouraged investors to “skate to where the puck is going” by considering the potential of DeFi in light of recent developments.
As of the time of writing, AAVE is priced at $367.87, indicating a positive outlook for the altcoin. With the DeFi sector gaining momentum and receiving attention from high-profile figures like Donald Trump, investors are advised to stay informed and monitor price action closely.
