Decentraland (MANA), an Ethereum-based virtual reality platform, has seen a surge in development activity, surpassing other non-fungible token (NFT) projects in the past month. According to Santiment, a crypto analytics firm, Decentraland recorded 168.17 notable GitHub events in the last 30 days, making it the leader in development activity.
In comparison, Flow (FLOW), a layer-1 permissionless blockchain, ranked second with 119.57 events, while Metaplex (MPLX), a decentralized NFT platform on Solana (SOL), came in third with 19.13 events. Santiment emphasizes that routine updates are not included in the count, and they use a refined methodology to collect data for GitHub events.
Development activity is a key indicator of developer confidence in a project and reduces the likelihood of it being an exit scam, according to Santiment. As of now, MANA is trading at $0.294, showing a nearly 7% increase in the past 24 hours. FLOW is currently priced at $0.539, up by over 5% in the last day, while MPX is trading at $0.416, experiencing a slight decrease of 0.5% in the past 24 hours.
